This post is about the general importance of loading speed for your webpages and, more specifically, the result we can measure from sites hosted on the club-hosting powered by 20i.
The waiting time for a webpage to load was always an issue for the user/visitor and in today's razor-sharp competition and with customers' patience diminishing at the same rate as their attention span, page speed can also be a matter of profit or loss for your online business.
Google has (for once well in advance) officially announced that "the page experience signals in ranking will roll out in May 2021. The new page experience signals combine Core Web Vitals with our existing search signals including mobile-friendliness, safe-browsing, HTTPS-security, and intrusive interstitial guidelines."

This is the hottest topic for SEO gurus right now and Matthew Woodward is diving deep into the importance of hosting for page speed in his blog post about the fastest WordPress hosting providers.
Matthew compare 12 popular hosting providers with a quite complex, but seemingly fair, model. Rightly, he emphasize two main "host-dependent" measurements, Page Load Time, and TTFB (Time To First Byte) and you can see the result in the table below.

The hosting provider, 20i.com, powering the hosting packages included for IMBuyersClub members, is not on Matthew's list. However, during the build-up of the Kadestack product, and now also the tests made with Chris Derenberger's YT Evolution, I gathered enough experience to compare our hosting, provided by 20i, with Matthew's.
You can see a typical result from a test with GTmetrix of a YT Evolution page hosted on a Linux Unlimited club-hosting package. Granted, it's not directly comparable to Matthew's test, but especially the TTFB still gives an indication of the quality of our provider.

As you can see, both TTFB (34ms) and Page Load Time (0.4s) would put this page at the top of the list of the 12 hosting providers in Woodward's article.
